Adjectives of feelings and emotions

What are adjectives of feelings and emotions?

Adjectives are very important parts of speech in English. They are used to modify nouns, i.e., they give extra, specific information about these nouns. For example, when we say that Edward suffers from a headache, we don’t know the degree of this headache; is it a mild, medium, or severe headache? So the words mild, medium, and severe are adjectives that describe the type of headache Edward has. But how do adjectives of feelings and emotions differ from the other types of adjectives?

As an answer to this question, we can say that these adjectives tell us how someone exactly feels. They describe his emotional, psychological, and mental state. If this state is good, we can use what is referred to as positive adjectives such as happy, confident, etc. But if it is not ok, we can use what we call negative adjectives such as bored, tired, sick, etc.

This post contains seven images with a large number of emotional adjectives that we can use to describe someone mentally. So take a look at them.
